The sixth-seeded KU baseball team defeated second-seeded West Virginia State on Friday by a score of 2-1, eliminating the Yellow Jackets from the double-elimination tournament. The win comes one day after KU fell 5-3 to top-seeded West Chester in game one of the NCAA Division II North Atlantic Regional Tournament.
The Golden Bears now advance to a 3 p.m. game on Saturday against Pitt-Johnstown. Each of KU's remaining games will be elimination contests.
Check back throughout the weekend for continuous updates.
